The Perky Chronic Fatigue and A Reason Why
Chronic fatigue likes to wreak havoc on our society. Chronic fatigue is something that tends to just creep up on some, while others will get hit by it right away. If your body is overworking and firing on all cylinders for a prolonged period of time, eventually your going to need a rest. Enter your adrenal glands! Imagine if you hit your “funny bone.” You will immediately have a weird sensation and might put pressure on your “funny bone” or start to move it back and forth real quick. What you are doing is suppressing the response by putting movement in the area (proprioception) and masking what you did. Your adrenal glands have enough time to release some hormones to further suppress the inflammation. Now, just imagine if your continually hitting your “funny bone” over and over again. Those adrenal glands are going to be doing some heavy work. If your body is like that “funny bone” being continually struck over and over again, your body cannot heal / adapt from the stress placed on it. Talk about chronic fatigue, jeez la weezy.
When your nerve system has stress placed on it: such as chemical stress (medication), physical stress (big brothers), and emotional stress (public speaking), these will place a toll on you body. So, in order to combat chronic fatigue, just avoid wrestling with your bigger brother, public speaking, and taking medication. OK, it is not that simple. When your master control system recognizes that stress is placed on it, those adrenal glands are going to be activated to release hormones. Any types of stress on your body for a prolonged period of time = over stimulation of adrenal glands. Over stimulation of adrenals for a period of time would definitely caused chronic fatigue. As a chiropractor, we check your nerve system for dysfunction (stress) and adjust if necessary. Have your nerves checked for dysfunction.
