What Is A Pinched Nerve
Yep, “I just started to feel like I had a pinched nerve or I slipped and fell and now I have a pinched nerve.” Two very common statements that we hear on a consistent basis. What in fast is a pinched nerve? You have twenty four spinal bones, and out of each them exit two nerve on each side. If one of your spinal bones moves out of position (up, down, back, left, north, south, east…etc..etc) that specific bone will “act” on the nerve. Hence the pinched nerve term. This is called a subluxation. A subluxation is what chiropractors find and if needed adjust. People feel pinched nerves at different times and for different reasons. The most common example would be being hit by a plane….you are going to have a pinched nerve….a subluxation. You are going to feel the pinched nerve (subluxation) probably immediately. Someone else is eliciting signs and symptoms of numbness and tingling sensations…that is a pinched nerve..a subluxation. Someone is having a migraine headache….once again a pinched nerve…a subluxation.
What? A migraine headache signifies a pinched nerve? Yes! If a bone is “acting”/ pinching on a nerve, then that nerve is not functioning at 100%. If a nerve is not functioning at 100% your body starts to elicit signs and symptoms, thus resulting in a pinched nerve….a subluxation. When a chiropractor finds and locates your pinched nerve and adjusts the subluxation, that nerve has no other option than to function at 100%. Why does it take time to help HEAL a pinched nerve…a subluxation? Arnold “Schwarzennnnager” did not just happen to go to the gym 1 time and look the way he did. Healing takes time and gaining muscle memory, ligament memory, TISSUE MEMORY takes time. Going through the process enables your body to become stronger and not rely on dope “crutches.” A pinched nerve is not a very nice thing for your body. A pinched nerve is different for everybody and can only manifest in one way….negative outcomes. A chiropractor can help you live healthier and to your potential you want!
